Adoptable dogs will be available starting at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 21

We’re open seven days a week at our large southeast Denver shelter, so visit us anytime at your convenience. Also, we offer appointments. To take advantage of the appointment option, call (303) 751-5772.

Buddy Center™

Our Douglas County shelter, also open seven days a week, is located near I-25, south of the Outlets at Castle Rock. While appointments are available, they are  generally not necessary at this location. You are welcome to make one, however, by calling our customer service team at the number above.

Offsite Adoptions

Petco Partnership:  We have a partnership with select Petco stores in the Denver metro area to show off some of our fabulous cats looking for loving homes. You can find Dumb Friends League cats available for adoption at these locations.

Pet Care-avan™:  Our mobile Pet Care-avan travels to locations throughout the Denver metro area and Douglas County, bringing adoptable cats, dogs, rabbits and other small pets to local businesses and community events.

Home Buddies—by appointment only 

Looking for . . . A cuddler? A talker? A couch potato? An active, playful cat? Why take a chance on love? Home Buddies stay with foster-care volunteers who have a chance to get to know their personalities while providing TLC.

Dumb Friends League 
Harmony Equine Center™

All of our horses are current on vaccinations and worming and have had their teeth checked. Farrier work is scheduled on a regular basis. If you are interested in adopting a horse, learn about the adoption process and complete our equine adoption application.
