The Friendship Circle was formed in 1986 to recognize the
people who, through their generous financial support, are special friends
of the animals in our care.
To recognize donors who are active in their support
of the Dumb Friends League's efforts to improve the welfare of companion
animals.
- To share with them our plans and aspirations.
- To establish an exemplary pattern of annual giving.
- To create increased interest in the welfare of animals among other potential donors.
The Dumb Friends League helps as many as 25,000 homeless pets every year. We bring valuable services to people and animals in our community, including humane education, animal welfare investigations, low-cost spay/neuter surgeries and more.
We are a private, nonprofit organization supported primarily by contributions from people like you.

We also recognize those donors who make extraordinary gifts at the following levels:

*Gift levels are determined based on giving during our fiscal year: July 1 to June 30.
Through their gifts, members of our gift clubs
are helping us:
- Shelter and care for tens of thousands of lost
and unwanted pets each year
- Provide veterinary treatment and foster
care for animals who are hurt or sick
- Spay or neuter every adopted animal, preventing
them from contributing to the pet over- population problem
- Deliver humane education programs that promote respect for animals and responsible pet care
- Provide behavior and traning assistance to pet owners
- Investigate and prosecute
persons involved in animal neglect or cruelty,
- Reach our goal of 100 percent placement of
adoptable pets by the year 2005.
Gifts may be restricted to certain programs; for example,
to veterinary care or adoptions. Unrestricted gifts are used where the need
is greatest.

Cash or checks may be brought or sent
to the Quebec Shelter.

Gifts via credit card can be authorized
through our website or by telephone.

Regular monthly contributions can be
made from a bank account by electronic funds transfer.
Matching gifts:
A gift of $125 or more, matched by an employer, will confer Friendship Circle
membership.
In-kind
donations:
Products or services, which have the effect of reducing our operating
costs, are beneficial.
Securities:
Gifts of marketable securities may mean greater tax savings for donors than
gifts of cash. A tax adviser should be consulted.
