The Junior Volunteer Club introduces young people to the benefits of volunteering in an animal shelter.
Junior volunteers must be between ages 12 and 15, dependable and responsible, have good communication skills, be willing to take on a variety of tasks and have an enthusiasm for working with people and animals.
Volunteers will work alongside adult volunteers for two hours each month, cleaning animal enclosures, socializing and working with dogs, cats and small mammals.They will meet the first Saturday of every month from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Parents and junior volunteers must attend a mandatory meeting together on April 19, 9 a.m.-11 a.m.
There is a $100 fee to join which is due at time of registration. The fee covers a one-year membership in the club.
Kids entering third, fourth and fifth grades can come to our Quebec Street shelter to explore the amazing world of animals. Critter Camp sessions run Monday —Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Registration is required. Campers may enroll in one of the following sessions:

Session I: June 2–6-FULL
Session II: June 9–13-FULL
Session III: June 16–20-FULL
Session IV: June 23–27-FULL
Session V: July 7–11-FULL
Session VI: July 14–18-FULL
BUDDY CENTER, CASTLE ROCK

Kids entering sixth, seventh and eighth grades can come to our Buddy Center in Castle Rock to explore careers in animal welfare. The Critter Careers Camp session runs Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Registration is required. Campers may enroll in one of the following sessions:

We are a private nonprofit organization. We spend an average of $300 on every animal adopted, over and above the fee paid by the patron. If you would like to help us, you can click here to make a secure online donation or print out a donation form and mail or fax it to us.
