New Dumb Friends League Adoption Center Opens at Petco
The Dumb Friends League has partnered with Petco and the Petco Foundation to open a new adoption center at Petco’s busiest metro-area location at the intersection of Colorado Blvd. and Mexico Ave. in Denver. A grand opening celebration will be held on Sat., Feb. 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This will be Petco’s first full-service adoption center in Colorado.
Dumb Friends League Breaks Ground On New Cat Pavilion
Construction of a new cat pavilion at the Quebec Street Shelter has begun. The 1,300-square-foot addition will increase the League’s capacity to house and care for homeless cats, and will be designed to allow potential adopters to freely interact with adoptable cats.
Compassion, Pledges Help Homeless Pets During Dumb Friends League Telethon
Hundreds of compassionate viewers pledged their support on Sunday, Jan. 25, during the 17th annual Pledges for Pets Telethon. The event raised more than $276,000 (and counting) to help homeless pets and horses at the Dumb Friends League. Fundraising continues through Feb. 9.
