142 Dogs (and 8 Newborn Pups) Need You

Last week, we responded to an urgent call for help to assist in the rescue, sheltering and care of 142 dogs removed from a breeder in southern Colorado.

Thanks to the support of kind donors, we were able to say “yes”—and in less than 24 hours, we were on the scene, preparing the dogs for their journey to our Quebec Street Shelter.

Since their arrival Friday evening, 142 dogs have become 150 after two mothers gave birth—and we’re giving each one of them loving attention and compassionate, expert care.

  • Every dog and puppy is being spayed or neutered.
  • Dozens need dental care and grooming.
  • Some will require further veterinary treatment, while others need behavior training and socialization.
  • Twenty-three of these dogs have already found new homes—but there is still so much more to do, for so many more of them!

Your gift today will help ensure that we can always say “yes” to homeless pets in need, whether one or 150.
