Bat-Cat Completes Dynamic Duo

My son is 3½ years old and in the “superhero” phase. He won’t allow me to call him anything but “Batman.” I have two older cats that have generally avoided him since he was born, so I decided now might be a good time for us to have a young animal.

I thought we would take a look at the kittens at the Dumb Friends League. My son had the idea that a “bat cat” would be perfect for him, so we chose a black kitten to be introduced to. The poor thing was scared, and although we tried to get her to warm up and play, it was just not happening.

“Batman” was upset, as he thought he had found his kitten soul mate. The adoption counselor came back in and told us there was a littermate that might be a great fit for our home. She was totally white, but we decided to take a look at her.

It was truly love at first sight. She jumped out of the carrier and ran directly to my son and kissed him on the nose. There was no way we could resist her amazing personality.

We have had Batty for almost two weeks now, and she and my son are inseparable. She sleeps next to him on his pillow at night. They jump around as Batman and Bat-Cat during the day. Batty has an amazing spirit and absolutely loves my son. I am so incredibly grateful to have her in our lives.
