“Have a Heart for Homeless Pets Telethon” Comes to 9NEWS
Animal lovers across metro Denver are invited to tune in to 9NEWS on Thursday, Feb. 9, for the Dumb Friends League Have a Heart for Homeless Pets Telethon.
The telethon will air during news programming and commercial breaks on 9NEWS KUSA/KTVD from 5 a.m. to 10:35 p.m. and feature adoptable pets and stories about how your support has helped transform the lives of homeless pets. Plus, tune in to KUSA from 10 – 11 a.m. on Feb. 9 as the Dumb Friends League takes over “Colorado & Company” with adorable pets, guest interviews and incredible second-chance stories of homeless pets right here in our community.
Last year, the Dumb Friends League saved more than 19,000 homeless pets, many of which received vital medical care, behavior training and foster care. Funds raised from this year’s telethon will help the Dumb Friends League continue to open its doors to all animals in need—whether they are old, ill, injured, unwanted, neglected, lost or in need of special care.
“There are so many vulnerable pets out there that rely on the Dumb Friends League,” said Bob Rohde, president and CEO of the Dumb Friends League. “But we wouldn’t be able to provide the life-changing services we do without the support of our community.”
Have a heart for homeless pets and tune in to 9NEWS KUSA/KTVD on Thursday, Feb. 9. Pet lovers who are unable to watch the telethon can still make donations online at ddfl.org/telethon, by texting the word “PET” to 41444 or by calling (303) 751-5772. For more information about the Dumb Friends League and the telethon, visit ddfl.org or call (303) 751-5772.
The Have a Heart for Homeless Pets Telethon is sponsored by Hill’s Pet Nutrition and will be hosted by 9NEWS KUSA/KTVD on-air talent.
