pet care-avan

care-avan The Pet Care-avan program takes adoptable animals and information to various locations throughout the community, using our specially designed Pet Care-avan. This program increases awareness of the League, promotes responsible pet ownership and takes our adoptable animals to people who may not be able to visit the shelter.

There are three ways you can get involved. First, we’re always on the lookout for additional offsite opportunities. If you know of a business or event that may be good for us to visit, let us know.

Second, we have opportunities available for volunteers to assist at these offsite events. Our offsite volunteers help keep the animals comfortable, walk the dogs and talk to people about our programs and services. This program provides a great opportunity to educate the public about how we help animals and people. And by bringing pets with us, we’re able to place more homeless animals with new, loving families.

Lastly, you can visit our Pet Care-avan and possibly adopt a new furry friend.

For information call Tracy Koss/ Operations Outreach Manager, Ext. 7276.

All events scheduled during winter months are weather permitting and have the possibility of being canceled.
