Tiffany Blades, Harmony Equine Center Trainer
Raised on a cattle ranch in northern Nevada, Tiffany Blades grew up around livestock. When she was 7 years old, her stepfather helped her train her first colt. Growing up, she and her brothers participated in numerous Junior Rodeo events with their ranch horses. In her junior year of high school, she made the National High School Rodeo Association (NHSRA) finals. To this day, during her free time she continues to compete in various equine sporting events.
As a trainer at the Harmony Equine Center, Tiffany says she enjoys helping horses gain skills and confidence in doing the jobs they are given, which makes for a happy horse and owner. “Although I love to see these horses go to great homes where they will be loved and cared for as they deserve, it is a little bittersweet to see them go,” she says. “But I know they get a chance at a great life that they probably never would have had if it weren’t for this program at Harmony.”
