Memorial & Tribute Gifts
Memorial and tribute gifts can be made securely online, in person at the Dumb Friends League or by mail. Print out the mail-order form.
You can recognize birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, graduations and other special occasions, or simply say “thank you” to a friend, family member or beloved pet. Gifts can also be made in memory of a person or pet.
When making a memorial or tribute gift, be sure to include the name of the person or pet being honored and their mailing address. For a memorial gift, please also include the names and addresses of any family members who should be notified about the gift. All memorial and tribute gifts are listed in our quarterly newsmagazine, Pet Tales.

Friendship walls
Your customized message will be etched on a clear Lucite plaque and displayed on the Friendship Wall at one of our shelters.

The name of a person or pet, with an optional color photo, will be printed on a glossy ceramic tile and displayed on the Buddy Wall at the Buddy Center or the Kindness Wall at the Quebec Street shelter.

Kennel Plaque
You can honor a loved one while sharing the special place in your heart for homeless pets with a beautiful plaque outside one of our pet adoption kennels at either of our shelters.

Pet Burial Services
We know that saying goodbye to a beloved pet is difficult. To help ease the pain, we invite you to consider the Sheilagh R. Malo Pet Memorial Garden for your pet’s final resting place.
Your pet’s cremated ashes will be placed in a stainless-steel urn and interred in a space of your choosing in the garden. The entry will be capped with a granite plaque inscribed according to your wishes.
You are welcome to visit the memorial garden anytime during our regular business hours. You can even hold a graveside service for your family and friends at the time of interment.
Pet memorial garden burial is available for a donation of $500. This includes the urn, burial space and granite plaque, as well as euthanasia and cremation, if desired.
You can reserve a spot in advance for your pet with a $250 deposit. The remainder will be due at the time of interment.
All revenue from these services goes toward caring for the animals at our shelters. We hope you will find comfort in knowing that your pet, even in death, is helping the homeless animals in our care.
