Working in human resources as the Dumb Friends League’s Director of Human Resources is Lindsey Hersey’s second career. Her first was as a professional modern and jazz dancer and instructor. After retiring from that career, she moved into human resources, where she has more than 15 years of experience in the financial, retail and healthcare sectors in both for-profit and non-profit organizations.
Lindsey is passionate about helping others achieve success. She is an innovative leader with experience in talent management, training, employee relations and recruiting, which will be an asset as she steps in to continue building on many of the programs and initiatives we have begun in human resources dedicated to becoming an Employer of Choice.
“I believe in the work done at the League,” said Lindsey. “I think what really blew me away is when I learned that one of the goals of the League is to create sustainable programs where families do not have to make the impossible decision of whether to surrender their pets. Every day I get to honor all of the animals who have been a part of my family. This organization plays a critical role in the community, and I find myself proud and humbled to work for such a great organization with such great people.”
Lindsey earned an MBA from the University of Colorado at Denver and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from the University of Colorado at Boulder. She is also a certified Senior Human Resources Professional.
