Jasmin Rice, Director of Events & Volunteer Engagement

Jasmin Rice brings extensive volunteer and event management experience—as well as a passion for working with people and pets—to her position as director of events and volunteer engagement at the Dumb Friends League. Prior to joining the League, Jasmin served as director of health and safety services for the Mile High Chapter of the American Red Cross.

During her 10-year tenure with the Dumb Friends League, Jasmin has facilitated strategic initiatives that have resulted in more than 100 percent growth in the number of active volunteers at the League, and the number of event volunteers has doubled. Jasmin currently oversees a volunteer program of more than 1,450 active volunteers who contributed in excess of 211,000 hours in FY15, saving the organization over $4.5 million. She also oversees the League’s signature fundraising events, including the Furry Scurry, Wag `n Trail and Have a Heart for Homeless Pets Telethon which account raise over $1.5 million for the organization.

Jasmin graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in psychology. She is the proud mom on Holi, a 17 year of Shi Tzu and retired Dumb Friends League ambassadog, and Baily, a 10 year old terrier mix adopted from the League.
