This summer and fall, felines from the Dumb Friends League are in the catbird seat when it comes to media attention in the Denver metro area. Our “9TALES” campaign, a partnership with 9NEWS/KUSA, will launch on July 23 with the goal of enhancing the value of cats in our community and increasing cat adoptions overall.
The intensive, four-month campaign includes hundreds of on-air spots highlighting the many “CATtributes” that make cats such great companions. Viewers are encouraged to send in photos and videos of their own cats via social media, which is playing a starring role in keeping the campaign fresh and interactive.
Additionally, one Thursday each month is designated as a “9TALES Morning” during which 9NEWS talent broadcasts live from our Cat Pavilion while League staff at the 9NEWS studio answer calls and provide information on cat-related topics.
In conjunction with the 9TALES campaign, we’re offering discounted cat adoption fees; see our website for current specials.
“9TALES is an innovative concept that we’re very excited about,” says Bob Rohde, president and CEO. “It’s an opportunity to saturate the market with fun, positive messages about cats at a time of year when we have as many as 900 cats in our care. We believe our community will respond with compassion and give these wonderful pets the second chances for happiness they deserve.”
