Coloradans celebrated our feline friends with two unique and fun events during the first week of July—the Dumb Friends League’s annual event CatFest and newest event Catwalk.
CatFest, which was held July 1 through July 7, helped more than 200 homeless felines find new, loving families. Adoption fees were waived for all cats one-year-old and older and adopters received goodie bags for their new feline family members.
On Saturday, July 7, craft beer-loving Coloradans celebrated a week of successful cat adoptions at the League’s newest event—Catwalk Tails and Ales. During the ticketed event, 425 attendees had the chance to sample beer from five local breweries while learning about programs that benefit cats at the Dumb Friends League. The event took place at the Quebec Street Shelter and raised more than $13,000 to help homeless cats in our community.
Catwalk guests also enjoyed food from local food trucks, wine tastings at the Hill’s Science Diet booth compliments of InVINtions Winery, music provided by Alice 105.9 and additional libations in the beer garden.
Waived adoption fees for CatFest were sponsored by Petco Foundation.
