Join the League as we clear the shelters

The 2020 Clear the Shelters campaign looks a bit different this year (doesn’t everything?), but for the month of August, you can still find your new wingman, work from home co-worker, snuggle bunny or trail-riding companion and support the Dumb Friends League.

The League is teaming up with Hill’s Pet Nutrition, NBC and Telemundo owned stations and participating in the 6th annual Clear the Shelters event. This nationwide campaign raises awareness and increases pet adoptions so that animals find their forever homes.

Help us meet our goal of placing 31 animals per day in 31 days during August in loving homes! Can’t adopt? You can support the animals in our care by donating to the League. Plus, throughout the month, we’ll share stories and celebrate the heroes who work in our shelters to care for animals every day.

For the health and safety of our staff and community during the COVID-19 crisis, and until it’s safe to resume normal operations, the League is offering virtual adoption appointments. That’s right, the initial phone consultations are virtual, but the animal is not. Learn more about our adoptions process and view our adoptable pets today!

Whether you adopt a pet or donate online, you’ll help the more than 21,000 animals who come through the League’s doors each year.
