The 12 Days of Catmus

The 12 Days of Catmus
(What the cats in our shelters dream about instead of sugar plums dancing through their heads.)

On the first day of Catmus, my humans gave to me
A home filled with lots of love

Hans cannot wait for your attention and affection. Seriously, he’s waiting for your pets! This sweet feline is 5-years old and is known as social and chatty. Hans has feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV), and while this does not define him, it means he should be the king of his castle or live with other FIV subjects … err, cats. (FIV positive cats like Hans can live long, happy lives.)

On the second day of Catmus, my humans gave to me
Two feather toys
And a home filled with lots of love

Kit is 7-years old and absolutely adores being treated like royalty and receiving attention on her own terms. (Well, who doesn’t, really?) This lovely cat enjoys playing with toys, which is good because some daily play sessions help her relax—and we’re betting, you, too! Bonus, we’re pretty sure your heart will grow three sizes the day Kit joins your family.

On the third day of Catmus, my humans gave to me
Three hands for petting, two feather toys
And a home filled with lots of love

With age comes experience, and 10-year-old Mac would love to spend his golden years in a loving home, receiving all the head scratches you can provide! This handsome boy can be timid at first, but he’s incredibly friendly and affectionate once he gets to know you. And, guess what? Mac loves getting brushed. If 50 is the new 40 for humans, then 10 is the new kitten!

On the fourth day of Catmus, my humans gave to me
Four litter boxes, three hands for petting, two feather toys
And a home filled with lots of love

Orange is the new sweet with 8-year-old Shiloh! The only small thing about Shiloh is her bladder but having a few litter boxes around the house will help. (Who wants to be caught having to go with no options??) Our volunteers describe Shiloh as “friendly” and “full of love,” and boy does she enjoy a good petting session! What’s the perfect home for this gorgeous girl? Yours!

On the fifth day of Catmus, my humans gave to me
Five laps for snuggles, four litter boxes, three hands for petting, two feather toys
And a home filled with lots of love

Two-year-old Stella’s favorite things include attention and playtime! What’s on this adorable feline’s holiday wish list? A home filled with affectionate humans and days filled with pets and plenty of play so she can show off her outgoing personality! Stella is on the nice list, so we hope all of her wishes come true before Santa comes down the chimney.

On the sixth day of Catmus, my humans gave to me
Six tasty treats, five laps for snuggles, four litter boxes, three hands for petting, two feather toys
And a home filled with lots of love

Zee Zee can prance and purr with the best of them! This lovely 7-year-old feline’s favorite things include affection (can’t get enough), brushing (ditto) and food (maybe a little too much). This attention-seeking missile is happy and good-natured and would love to spend the holidays with unlimited attention and pets! Who wouldn’t want a warm and fuzzy holiday season after all?

On the seventh day of Catmus, my humans gave to me
Seven comfy blankets, six tasty treats, five laps for snuggles, four litter boxes, three hands for petting, two feather toys
And a home filled with lots of love

Sweet Quinn has had 10 years to purrfect, err … perfect … his affectionate nature. This handsome gent has mastered his snuggle skills. He is relaxed and welcoming and would love a comfortable home filled with snuggly blankets. Quinn’s ideal day includes some head rubs and sweet talk from his favorite people. After a few chin scratches, Quinn would enjoy a bright window to soak in the warm afternoon sun in his quiet and relaxed home!

On the eighth day of Catmus, my humans gave to me
Eight lovely sunbeams, seven comfy blankets, six tasty treats, five laps for snuggles, four litter boxes, three hands for petting, two feather toys
And a home filled with lots of love

Gentle Delilah would love a quiet home with patient humans who are willing to give her time to warm up and adjust to her new surroundings. The sweet and social 5-year old feline loves affection (once she gets to know you), laying in sunbeams and being treated like a queen. If there’s another cat in Delilah’s home, all the better!

On the ninth day of Catmus, my humans gave to me
Nine tall cat towers, eight lovely sunbeams, seven comfy blankets, six tasty treats, five laps for snuggles, four litter boxes, three hands for petting, two feather toys
And a home filled with lots of love

Despite her 10 years, Marble rolls with the flow. A holiday season filled with time together, endless chin scratches and a cozy spot in her tower top Marble’s wish list this year. (She’s not a big fan of being picked up, but that’s no biggie.) Marble dreams of a caring family in a loving home. Isn’t that what the season is all about?

On the tenth day of Catmus, my humans gave to me Ten hiding spaces, nine tall cat towers, eight lovely sunbeams, seven comfy blankets, six tasty treats, five laps for snuggles, four litter boxes, three hands for petting, two feather toys And a home filled with lots of love

Two-year old Charlie adores cozy hiding spaces and nooks, petting (on her terms) and lots of time for play! Sounds good to us, too! This social kitty wants an experienced cat owner with lots of time for affection and play. An inviting, covered bed space would make her day when she wants to escape for a lazy cat nap!

On the eleventh day of Catmus, my humans gave to me
Eleven whiffs of cat nip, ten hiding spaces, nine tall cat towers, eight lovely sunbeams, seven comfy blankets, six tasty treats, five laps for snuggles, four litter boxes, three hands for petting, two feather toys
And a home filled with lots of love

Sweet Jazzy has had 11 years to purrfect, err … perfect … her affectionate nature. She is relaxed and welcoming and would love a comfortable home filled with snuggly blankets. Jazzy’s ideal day includes some head rubs, sweet talk and her favorite special food. After a few chin scratches, Jazzy would enjoy a bright window to soak in the warm afternoon sun!

On the twelfth day of Catmus, my humans gave to me
Twelve bowls of goat’s milk, eleven whiffs of cat nip, ten hiding spaces, nine tall cat towers, eight lovely sunbeams, seven comfy blankets, six tasty treats, five laps for snuggles, four litter boxes, three hands for petting, two feather toys
And a home filled with lots of love

Peanut is a little nugget of cuteness looking for an easygoing family with love, love and more love to share! At 5-years old, Peanut is single and on the prowl – although, on the prowl for a new home. This affectionate and cuddly kitty doesn’t need a first date of dinner and drinks – head scratches are the evening of choice!
