“Yappy Hours are very popular,” says Natalie Cutter, special events coordinator, who interacts a lot with guests during Yappy Hours. “Anywhere people can bring their dogs and enjoy Colorado beer and wine is a plus. Many guests tell me about League alumni that won their hearts, and attend Yappy Hours with their dogs or in honor of them, if they’ve passed. Breweries are onboard for Yappy Hours, as they bring in a large crowd, and in Colorado, we have a lot of animal lovers. It’s a fun event for everyone.”

The League does about 12 Yappy Hours a year at about 10 unique locations, and hopes to expand. “We are getting creative with locations, days (weekdays and Saturdays) and are introducing wineries into the mix to reach the largest number of League supporters,” Natalie says. “Denver has a thriving ‘bring-your-dog’ trend and Yappy Hours attracts a different and new demographic of animal lovers.”
