Vice President of Finance and Administration

As a well-respected nonprofit organization known for its transparency and integrity, the Dumb Friends League strives every day to be a good steward of the resources it receives from the public to make a difference in homeless animals’ lives. Critical to that effort is Bud Jeffress.

Our new vice president of finance and administration brings 30 years of leadership and experience in management, finance, administration, human resources and information technology to the Dumb Friends League. He has held senior executive positions at several nonprofit organizations, including an international medical aid organization, a performing arts center, and a museum and science center. He currently serves as the president of the Colorado Humane Society.

Bud holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Missouri at Kansas City and received an MBA in management from Rockhurst College, a private university in Kansas City, Mo.

He has two grown children with whom he shares two cats, Jojo and Rhodey. He also has a dog named Bear and is foster father to his fiancée’s redbone coonhound, Ruby.
