John Butler

Vice President of Finance and Administration

John Butler joined the Dumb Friends League as Vice President of Finance and Administration in November 2023. With over 20 years of experience in financial leadership, John is committed to enhancing the financial stewardship and operational efficiency of every organization he serves.

John began his career as an economic consultant and has held senior leadership roles at SCL Health. Prior to joining the League, he served as CFO of HSS, a Denver-based company specializing in healthcare security services and high-risk security environments. In every position, John strives to build processes that effectively utilize the organization’s assets, while also empowering operational leaders and teams with decision-making data.

John received his MBA from Colorado State University in 2016. When he’s not building budgets, he enjoys spending time camping, sailing, and paddleboarding with his wife, daughter, and son. While their cat, Pickles, prefers home over the mountains, their goldendoodle, Sawyer, is always up for outdoor adventures.
